Community Learning is at the heart of our mission as we nurture young people to become confident members of society. We offer KS3 students a stepping-stone curriculum to aid their transition to a permanent placement, KS4 students a focus on securing enough GCSE qualifications to get into their desired college course, and a personal development programme for students aged 14+ who need a fresh start in their educational journey.

What you will be doing:
Teaching small groups of children young people aged between 11 and 21.
Keeping young people safe both on and offsite.
Supporting the emotional development of reluctant learners.
Creating positive and safe experiences to motive and inspire students.
Plan, deliver and assess learning programmes tailored to learner’s needs, interests and abilities.Maintain ongoing case notes and provide input to regular review processes.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience of working in the Education Sector or supporting children and young people who may be reluctant learners.
Qualifications in Maths & English at Level 2 as a minimum. Holding a degree relevant to a secondary school curriculum is desirable.
Excellent motivational skills for individuals and small-groups of learners.
Passionate about making a genuine difference in lives of children and young people.Effective computer literacy skills to adapt learning resources.
Strong command of English literacy, including the spoken word.Able to manage own workload, ensuring priorities and deadlines are met.
A willingness to undertake additional qualifications that support the team’s mission.
Full UK Driving license with access to a car and a willingness to secure business insurance.
